การไฟฟ้าส่วนภูมิภาค หรือ PEA เป็นรัฐวิสาหกิจสาขาสาธารณูปโภคในสังกัดกระทรวงมหาดไทย มีภารกิจในการจัดหาและให้บริการพลังงานไฟฟ้าและธุรกิจที่เกี่ยวเนื่องให้แก่ประชาชน ธุรกิจและอุตสาหกรรมในพื้นที่รับผิดชอบ 74 จังหวัดทั่วประเทศ (ยกเว้น กรุงเทพฯ นนทบุรี สมุทรปราการ) และประเทศข้างเคียงเพื่อตอบสนองความต้องการของลูกค้าให้เกิดความพึงพอใจ ทั้งด้านคุณภาพและบริการ โดยการพัฒนาองค์กรอย่างต่อเนื่อง มีความรับผิดชอบต่อสังคมและสิ่งแวดล้อม
PEA เปิดตัว PEA AR Application เมื่อวันที่ 17 มิถุนายน 2557 เทคโนโลยีการสื่อสาร AR (Augmented Reality) ที่ผสมผสานโลกแห่งความเป็นจริง (Real) กับโลกเสมือน (Virtual) พลิกโฉมมิติการบริการรูปแบบใหม่ของ PEA ที่ประชาชนสามารถเข้าถึงบริการของ PEA ได้สะดวก รวดเร็วเพียงปลายนิ้วสัมผัสบน Smartphone และ Tablet ซึ่งผู้ใช้งานสามารถ Download ได้ทั้งในระบบ แอนดรอย์ และ iOS ด้วยบริการ 8 ฟังก์ชั่นพิเศษเพื่อลูกค้าของ PEA ประกอบด้วย

Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) , a government enterprise in the utility sector under the Interior Ministry, PEA is responsible for the provision of standardized electricity services and related business in 74 provinces (except Bangkok, Nonthaburi and Samut Prakarn provinces) and the neighboring countries to attain the customer’s satisfaction on quality and services through PEA’s continual corporate development plans with the recognition of social and environmental responsibility.
PEA has launched PEA AR Application on June 17, 2014. The Augmented Reality (AR) Technology that allows for a digitally enhanced view of the real world, connecting people to keep in touch with PEA information and services. With the camera and sensors in a smartphone or tablet, AR adds layers of digital information – videos, photos and sounds.
